Margarita graduated from the state Academy of Music specialtising as an Pedagogy at the Faculty of Theoretical Studies and Opera Singing.

​Since 1986 she has been the artistic director of the foundations participating in various cultural programs

In 2020, she received the honorary golden age (star) sign of the Ministry of Culture for significant contribution to the development and affirmation of Bulgarian culture and national identity.
