Martenitsa Concert 14th of March - Time Slot 1

12:00pm to 1:30pm

Rodina Sydney, sponsored by the City of Sydney Council and Element ICT, in partnership with the State Library of New South Wales, presents to you, Festival Martenitsa! This is the first event of its kind initiated by Rodina Sydney. The Festival is  celebrating the beginning of spring with Мартеница/Мартинка/Martisor.

Diverse program of multicultural performances from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova and others:

12:00pm VGmates Music Band - medieval fusion and contemporary sound 

1:00pm Official Opening of Martenitsa Festival Silvia Encheva – “The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices”

1:15pm Bulgarian Rhythms - Shopski splet – Bulgarian folk dance
